For the fall of 2010:

Hustle (Ballroom Dance) - Thursdays, 6:30 to 7:30p.m.

Hustle is the perfect dance for dance-beat, contemporary pop music of the last 20 years.  It's easy to learn and can be danced everywhere: ballrooms, parties, and wedding receptions.   It is a fast, smooth dance, the "in" thing for many people, especially men.  Although this class starts at the very beginning and is suitable for the complete beginner, there will be enough material to carry you to an advanced level. This class will show you a boatload of great patterns and moves for social dancing.  
 

Rumba (Ballroom Dance) – Thursdays, 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.

The most popular Latin dance is, without doubt, the rumba.  This is a dance you will use often.  Slow and romantic, the rumba beat is often heard in popular mainstream music.  Starting with the very beginner basic steps, you will learn how to combine the figures and move from pattern to pattern.  This is key for making the dance look great and feel great for you to dance together.  Also included are lovely and charming patterns involving dips and sweeps.
