Rwanda Newsletters By Arlene Brown ARLENE IN KIGALI, RWANDA - July 2005 Hello from Rwanda. Thanks to many prayers my mother has been given a gift of time to spend with her earthly family. Her recovery is slow but steady. “Thanks be to God.” Many thanks to you who remembered her in your prayer time with our Lord
ARLENE IN KIGALI, RWANDA - June 2005 Hello from Rwanda. I am still safe from Leopards, Elephants and insurgents. This month I have been concerned and praying for my Mother. She is a good Christian woman who has reached 95 years in service for her Lord.
ARLENE IN KIGALI, RWANDA - May 2005 Here are two note worthy item. Just to let you know Rwanda is different. Bet these do not appear in your newspaper: Neighborhood news: A very large Leopard has been seen in the Kimihurura area running on the road and jumping rooftops.
ARLENE IN KIGALI, RWANDA - April 2005 By Arlene Brown I have to share this with you. I hope you will join me in laughter. There are workmen outside my compound reinforcing the wall.
Rwanda Newsletter - March 2005 To my Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Saint Johns-Newberry: ARLENE IN KIGALI, RWANDA This month is a milestone for me. I have been in Rwanda one year. I went back and reviewed the first newsletters, and I wonder at the many changes that have taken place.
Rwanda Newsletter - February 2005 To my Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Saint Johns-Newberry. ARLENE IN KIGALI, RWANDA Things are rather quiet in Kigali after the traditions of Christmas and New Years. January seems to be a month of rest and restoration. We really need that time in our lives.
Rwanda Newsletter - January 2005 By Arlene Brown KIGALI, RWANDA To my Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Saint Johns-Newberry. My Christmas did not go as I had planned. I have struggled with how to share with you my unhappiness without causing you grief. It seemed like I should keep this inside me and not share it with you but that is not the way the Lord would have me do. First let me share with you the very good about Christmas in Rwanda.
ARLENE IN KIGALI, RWANDA December Newsletter To my Brothers and Sisters at Saint Johns Newberry, greetings at this Christmas season. The Joy of Thanksgiving was truly mine. I was blessed with an invitation to share this holiday with other Americans at the home provided for the American Ambassador to Rwanda. There are about 150 Americans in Rwanda and half were at the Thanksgiving feast and it was a feast. It made me realize how spoiled we Americans are even here in Rwanda.
Saint John's-Newberry Missionary In Rwanda - November Newsletter KIGALI, RWANDA - From Arlene Brown: Finally I am driving. Now that may not sound like much but that is because you have never driven in Kigali. Those of you who have been here will appreciate my new skills. Driving in Rwanda is strange. First of all lucky for me they do drive on the right hand side of the road. That’s a plus but the cars here are a mix some have the steering on the right and some the left. Sometimes I am not sure from the way a car is behaving if there is a driver in it.
Making a Difference By Arlene Brown Newsletter: July 2004 - KIGALI, RWANDA I never realized how much the little things in our lives matter and how much we take for granted until now. Having a bed to sleep in with a sheet and blanket, clothes that fit, more than one towel, peanut butter for my bread, thanks to the thoughtfulness of the mission team from Reston
